30 films. But 30 ideas?

Libas commissioned 30 festive performance-marketing films from Growster. The interesting strategic question isn't the volume; it's whether each creative tests a distinct reason to buy.

On 21 October 2026, Indian ethnic-wear brand Libas and creative agency Growster announced a partnership to produce 30 films for festive performance marketing. Trade reporting describes the mandate as a planned pipeline of distinct, testable video assets. That is an announced production plan, not evidence that 30 films have already been completed, published or performed successfully.

The creative mechanism is worth examining. In paid social, one polished campaign film cannot test every buyer motivation. A person shopping for a wedding, a family gathering and a festive office event might respond to different product benefits, occasions or styles. A bank of creative variants gives a marketing team the possibility of learning which messages resonate with which audiences, provided the variants really change the idea rather than just the edit.

The crucial distinction is between creative volume and creative variation. Thirty near-identical films can generate more files without generating much new information. Thirty films built around genuinely different consumer hypotheses could teach a brand far more. Growster describes its approach as 'Predictable Creative Volume'; the word *predictable* refers to the production system, not a guaranteed business outcome.

My interpretation: the next competitive advantage may be an ability to repeatedly produce meaningful experiments, not simply a larger content calendar. To assess this campaign responsibly, we'd need to see which films actually ran, the differences between their ideas, the testing design and performance data. None of that was reported in the initial announcement. The question is not whether 30 is impressive. It's whether the thirtieth film knows something the first did not.
