We’ve all heard it, right? Find balance. Create balance. Live a balanced life.
Sounds good on Pinterest boards and wellness podcasts, but in reality? Balance feels like chasing a WiFi signal that never really stabilizes. One bar today, gone tomorrow.
When I try to “balance” everything, I end up exhausted. Work, family, friends, health, passion projects, self-care, like a circus act where I’m juggling flaming torches, and one wrong move means burning my eyebrows off.
Here’s the unfiltered truth: maybe life isn’t meant to be balanced. Maybe it’s meant to be prioritized.
Some days, work takes the front seat and I forget to eat lunch on time. Other days, I ditch deadlines and spend hours catching up with people who actually matter. And on rare (magical) days, I manage to do both without collapsing.
But that doesn’t mean I’m failing at life. It means I’m living it.
Because balance isn’t about giving everything equal weight. It’s about knowing what deserves more of you right now. And sometimes, that’s an urgent email. Sometimes, it’s a 2-hour nap. Both are valid. Both are necessary.
✨ Unfiltered Takeaway: Stop obsessing over balance. Start paying attention to what matters in this moment. Life gets a lot lighter when you’re not trying to weigh every single thing.
👉 Now, I want to hear from you: What’s one area of your life you’ve been trying (and failing) to “balance,” but secretly wish you could just let go of?
Stick around - because Unfiltered: Twisha is where I call out the myths we all silently struggle with and rewrite them with a little honesty (and a little humour).
